Nashville Attractions

Nashville, Tennessee tourist attractions can be divided by type. 

Since Nashville is also known as "Music City USA"  lets mention the music or country music attractions.  While you visit Nashville you should take time to see the Grand Ole Opry, Ryman Auditorium or Country Music Hall of Fame.   Middle Tennessee and Nashville's music scene has plenty of places where you can listen to live music of all types.

If you would rather visit mansions, plantations or ante-bellum homes Nashville has several to choose from: The Hermitage (President Andrew Jackson's Home), Belmont Mansion or Belle Meade Plantation.

Museums is another area that Nashville has plenty to offer for residents and visitors.  The museums are explained in more detail on attractions page but to name a some of the ones you should not miss are: Frist Art Center for Visual Arts, Parthernon Art Museum, Tennessee State Museum, Creekwood Botanical Gardens and museum.

Does Nashville have anything kids or children can visit?

Nashville, TN. is a very friendly city for children.  It has the Nashville Zoo at Grassmere.  An Adventure Science Center for kids with events changing on a regular basis.  If your kid likes the outdoors Nashville Parks & Greenways have a wide selection.  Who said they like water?  Nashville has two great lakes (Lake Hickory & J. Percy Priest Lake) a Cumberland river and a two water play parks (Wave Country & Gulf Shores).  Take a steamboat cruise down the Cumberland next to the Opry Mills and Gaylord Opryland Resort.

Nashville has two more areas that are huge  and were not mentioned.  Nashville Sports and Artitecture.  Sports will be covered more on the sports page but Tennessee Titans and Nashville Predators would all be great games to see with your friends, family or children.

The artitechure in Nashville is beautiful with a wide selection of new, old and modern.  Some sights to visit would be the Pathernon, Union Station and the "Batman" Bellsouth building.  Another place not to miss is the Gaylord Opryland Hotel.
